MK-6820V Polymethacrylate (PMA) Viscosity Index Improvers for Gear Oil
According to SAE J306, the 100℃ kinematic viscosity of gear oil should remain within the viscosity range after a 20-hour KRL shear test, for example, the 100℃ kinematic viscosity of grade 90 oil should be above 13.5 mm²/s after shear. At the same time, outstanding low-temperature fluidity is also needed to meet the low-temperature Brookfield viscosity requirements.

Polymethacrylate Viscosity Index Inhibitor Suggested Use
Add 5.0%~35.0%wt to the specified base oils. Given the different types of base oils, thickening, viscosity index and pour point tests of the blended oil are required to determine the exact amount of MK-6820V functional polymer needed.
