MK-887 Turbidity Point Depressant for Lubricating Oil

Product Overview

This product is a highly efficient cloud point depressant specifically developed for lubricating oil systems. It employs advanced high-molecular polymer technology to address issues such as excessive wax crystal precipitation, high cloud point, and oil turbidity caused by low-temperature environments in mineral base oils. By selectively altering the crystallization morphology and structure of wax crystals, it prevents the formation of a network structure through wax crystal aggregation, significantly lowering the cloud point of the lubricating oil system. At the same time, it ensures the oil’s low-temperature cleanliness, fluidity, and operational stability, preventing wax crystal blockages in oil lines and filters, and guaranteeing the continuous lubrication and protective functions of the oil under severe low-temperature conditions.

Appendix A: This method involves adding the product to base oil for blending, so that the blended oil contains 1% lubricating-oil cloud-point depressant, and the cloud-point difference before and after additive addition is measured.

Scope of Application

  1. Automotive lubricants: gasoline engine oil, diesel engine oil, gear oil, transmission oil, hydraulic transmission oil, and other automotive lubricant products.
  2. Industrial lubricants: industrial gear oil, hydraulic oil, bearing oil, circulation system oil, refrigeration oil, guide rail oil, metalworking lubricants, etc.

Recommended Addition Amount

Calculated based on the mass fraction of the finished lubricating oil, the recommended addition ratio is 0.5%–1.5%. The specific dosage can be flexibly adjusted according to the wax content, distillation range of the base oil and the target cloud point requirements. A lower dosage can be adopted for low-wax base oils, while the dosage should be appropriately increased for high-wax base oils.

Storage and Transportation

During storage, transportation, or handling, the maximum temperature should not exceed 75°C; for long-term storage, the maximum temperature should not exceed 45°C. Avoid exposure to water. This product is non-flammable, non-explosive, and non-corrosive. In terms of safety, environmental compatibility, and usage, it is similar to conventional petroleum products and does not require special protective measures.
